Danielle Larsen
Danielle Larsen, MEd, LMHC is the Clinical Research Recruiter at Response to Risk Research.
Danielle is the primary clinician in the BIDMC ProNET study and leads recruitment efforts to bring awareness to the community about available Response to Risk programs and studies. She also serves as a clinical consultant, collaborating with area providers to assess the appropriateness of fit for our studies or to locate existing resources for youth in their communities.
Academic: Danielle holds a Master of Education degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Trauma Studies from Cambridge College. She is a fully licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including residential treatment facilities, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, behavioral health in the primary care setting and large non-profits. Her experience includes several years as a co-responding clinician with local police departments across MetroWest, providing psychiatric evaluation, risk assessment and mental health resources to individuals across the lifespan. Danielle has also provided clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians and students.
Interests and Experience: Danielle’s goal is to provide an environment where individuals can reconnect with themselves and regain a sense of empowerment, while reducing stigma and increasing a sense of safety. This is achieved by utilizing trauma-informed, experiential, and person-centered techniques to view the whole individual and ensure that every interaction is personalized, collaborative, and unique to each person.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her wife and dog, family, and friends. She has a passion for nature, hiking, and physical fitness. Danielle loves to curl up with a good book and cup of tea.
