Julia Pfluger, B.S., is a Clinical Research Assistant at the Response To Risk Program. Julia is responsible for the coordination of many research projects at Response to Risk. Her primary role is the study coordinator on the InVEST research study. She is also involved in many other projects in the program, such as the Youth Mental Health Screening.
Academic: Julia received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Northeastern University in 2022. She has a research background in motivation, healthy cognitive aging, and ADHD.
Interests and Experience: Prior to joining the Response to Risk program, Julia has worked as a research assistant at Northeastern University, working with young adults to better understand motivation in conjunction to its role in healthy cognitive aging. She has also worked as an undergraduate counselor at a summer treatment program focused on improving symptoms of ADHD in children. She was also a student success guide in which she guided undergraduate students through their first year at university and transition to school life. Julia is currently working on projects exploring the impact of social and role functioning interventions on treatment outcomes for youth at risk for psychosis as well as how psychosis may be tied to other symptoms such as suicidality. Her interests include developing accessible evidence-based practices that are effective for the treatment of psychosis and other mental health disorders.
