Melanie Maldonado is a Clinical Research Student and School/Work Coach at Response to Risk. She is a part of the Building Bridges Toward Equity in Psychosis Intervention and Careers (2B-EPIC) program. Her role includes community outreach, working with the Spanish Advisory Board, school/work coaching for CHR-p clients to support them in working on life skills, and assisting with our studies. 

Academics: Melanie is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Health Psychology at Northeastern University. 

Engagement and Interests: Before joining the Response to Risk team, Melanie worked as a medical scribe at a community health center in Boston, as well as an early educator for young children. At Northeastern, she is on the executive board of a sexual health and reproductive justice organization. As part of the board, she works towards promoting access to wellness resources and advocating for reproductive rights through education and policy involvement. She is also the co-president of the Honors Program's Diversity and Equity Committee at Northeastern. Melanie is interested in pursuing graduate school in clinical psychology and working with underserved communities. Her goal is to spread awareness about mental health and increase access to services and resources for marginalized communities. Outside of 2B-EPIC, Melanie enjoys reading, going on hikes, and cooking.
