Michal Musikavanhu, B.A. is a Clinical Research Assistant in the Response to Risk program.

Michal Musikavanhu is a research coordinator leading InVEST, a school and work coaching research study that helps clients reach their educational and vocational goals. Michal also assists in coordinating a variety of related research projects working with youth at clinical high risk for psychosis. 

Academic: Michal received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wellesley College in 2021. She has a background in neurosurgical research and working with youth exhibiting behavioral challenges and mental illness. 

Interests and Experience: Prior to working at the Response To Risk program, Michal has worked as a research assistant in the neurosurgery department at Lahey Hospital and Medical center, interned for the Bell Project (Bellevue Project For Early Language Literacy and Education Success) at Bellevue hospital, and has also worked as a teacher’s assistant educating developmentally challenged youth through crisis intervention and therapeutic programs. Michal’s interests include developing advanced models of care through a biopsychosocial lens for those experiencing various degrees of mental illness. Specifically, exploring how interdisciplinary approaches can provide a more adequate understanding of the human psyche and advance models of care. She is continuing to work on projects exploring the early stages of psychosis and is aiding in developing social and role-functioning interventions to improve treatment outcomes for youth at risk for psychosis.
