TaKaya McFarland is a Clinical Research Student and School/Work Coach at Response to Risk. She is a part of the Building Bridges toward Equity in Psychosis Intervention and Careers (2B-EPIC) promoting and supporting the goals of the grant especially in Black and Latinx communities.
Academics: TaKaya is currently perusing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Interests and Experience: TaKaya McFarland is a determined third year college with ambitions rooted in her upbringing in gorgeous Prince George’s County. Her interest in community advancement and engagement has led her to pursue a degree in Psychology at Northeastern University and participate in various activities. These include Science Club for Girls, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Phi Delta Epsilon and the National Pan-Hellenic Council serving various roles. Also co-finding a non-profit tutoring service in her hometown to provide more extracurricular and professional development opportunities to students of color. She has post graduate interests in attending graduate school (PsyD) and continual advocacy in both education and community access to care through her nonprofit and research, using her Information Technology degree to help develop her own practice.
